The State Educational Achievement Survey - PARAKH is a comprehensive assessment program designed to evaluate the educational competencies of students at the block level in India. In the pursuit of a greater good, focusing on a larger student population has driven a shift in assessment from district to block levels, expanding sample sizes per state. This shift aims to address performance shortcomings and ne-tune policy-making to meet specic block-level needs. SEAS 2023 is scheduled to be conducted on November 3rd, targeting students in grades III, VI, and IX. The survey aims to assess students' competencies across the foundational, preparatory, and middle stages of education, focussing primarily on Language and Mathematics skills. The total number of assessed block is 6416.
